Caroline Kasper Caroline Kasper is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A., 1982) and the University of Florida College of Law (J.D. with Honors, 1989).  In addition, she received a Masters of Laws degree (an LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida in 1990.  She is admitted to practice in the state of Florida. 

 

Ms. Kasper first practiced law with the Jacksonville, Florida firm of Smith Hulsey and Busey.  Subsequently, she joined the Internal Revenue Service where she worked in the Estate and Gift Tax Group as an Estate Tax Attorney.  At the IRS, her duties included reviewing and selecting Estate and Gift tax returns for audit at the Atlanta Service Center and conducting examinations of the returns for the Jacksonville and West Palm Beach offices.  She also served as a Union Steward and helped draft the first flex-time policies.

 

At Katz Baskies LLC, Ms. Kasper concentrates her practice on all aspects of estate and trust administration, with an emphasis in the area of Federal Estate and Gift Tax issues.  She represents Personal Representatives and Trustees with all phases of estate and trust administration, including opening probates, attending hearings, resolving homestead issues, preparing accountings and all other administrative responsibilities.  As part of her practice, she represents estates and trusts with charitable issues, and she also represents charities with estate and trust issues.  In addition, Ms. Kasper has extensive experience drafting and reviewing federal gift and estate tax returns, as well as negotiating with the IRS on examinations and audits.


Ms. Kasper is a longtime supporter of the American Cancer Society, the Boca Raton Community Hospital and St. Andrews School.
