Recognition of Katz Baskies & Wolf Attorneys as Super Lawyers
2025 marks the 20th anniversary issue of the Super Lawyers rankings of top Florida attorneys. Per their website, the Super Lawyers publication uses a “patented selection process” that is “peer influenced and research driven” in order to select up to the top 5% of the attorneys in Florida (the parent company publishes similar lists in all 50 states) for inclusion in their Florida Super Lawyers publication. Further, Super Lawyers also selects a group of “Rising Stars” who are under the age of 40 or in practice for less than 10 years for recognition in the Rising Stars category (which is less than 2.5% of the Florida attorneys). Virtually all of the attorneys at Katz Baskies & Wolf were selected for inclusion in some capacity.
Associate attorneys, Phillip Arencibia (selected for the first time) and Jennifer Delgado (included in 2024 and 2025), were both selected for inclusion in the Rising Stars category (top 2.5%).
Partner Justin Savioli was selected as a Super Lawyer for the 10th consecutive year (2016-2025) after being selected as a Rising Star for 6 consecutive years before that (from 2010-2015). Justin was also included as one of the top 100 attorneys in the Miami/South Florida region in 2020.
Partner Angela Santos was selected as a Super Lawyers for the 3rd time and 2nd year in a row (2021, 2024-2025) after previously being selected as a Rising Star (2020).
In the field of Trusts and Estates litigation, partner Jim George was selected to the Super Lawyers list for the 19th consecutive year (2007-2025), while partner Tattiana Brenes-Stahl was selected as a Super Lawyer for the 10th consecutive year (2016-2025) after being selected as a Rising Star 5 times before that (from 2009-2014). Partner Tim Wolf has previously been included as a Rising Star as well.
The firm’s named/founding partners, Tom Katz, Jeff Baskies and Jerry Wolf, were all included in the Super Lawyers list for the 20th consecutive year, meaning all 3 of them have been included in the Super Lawyers list every year such lists have been published.
Tom Katz was again selected as one of the top 100 attorneys in the Miami/South Florida region for the 10th consecutive year (2016-2025), having previously been selected as one of the top 100 attorneys in the entire state of Florida (3 consecutive times from 2017-2019).
Finally, Jeff Baskies was again selected as one of the top 100 attorneys in the entire state of Florida for the 17th consecutive year (2009-2025). Jeff has previously been selected as one of the top 10 attorneys in the entire state of Florida (2014). As a result, Jeff was included in an exclusive new list (published for the first time in 2025) called the “Cream of the Crop” recognizing the 36 lawyers who were on the debut Super Lawyers list in 2006 and who were included in the Florida top 10 list at least once over the past 20 years.
